This riverfront renovation in Cincinnati, Ohio began with a simple goal: to strengthen the connection between the home, the view, and the surrounding landscape. By reimagining the floor plan, each space now feels more open and connected to the outdoors. Structural posts were integrated into the kitchen island and concealed within walnut-wrapped columns and shelving fabricated by Ora House, opening the dining room to the kitchen while maintaining a seamless flow. Natural light moves through the home throughout the day, echoed in the flowing quartzite stone of the kitchen and the movement of the Ann Sacks tile in the powder room, which serves as the backdrop to a Nood Co concrete basin and is highlighted by a small portal mirror.

Inspired by the feeling of a modern treehouse, this home combines natural materials, rich textures, and a warm palette to create an atmosphere that is both refined and welcoming. Grain-matched walnut, curved cabinetry, and sculptural stone details are paired with warm stained red oak handrails and a floating staircase that complement original features such as the stone fireplace.

Curved forms bring a sense of play to the interiors. A modular curved sofa from Castlery creates a strong focal point and helps define the living space. Vintage furniture and accessories collected over time are layered with the homeowners’ existing pieces, creating a home that feels curated and personal.

Regional creative culture is woven throughout the home through artwork by Kelly Zellers, Chuck Swanson, Teri Dryden, and Marco Logsdon, adding depth and continuity while reinforcing the home's thoughtful, collected character.
