When an easy-going, nature-loving couple purchased a home filled to the brim with gold-leaf, deco trim, and aggressive paint, the search for an interior designer began. Natalie O Design was originally called in for a master bath renovation consultation and ended with full-home design direction and art curation. Each room on the first floor was touched. Beginning with two bathroom renovations, the NOD team selected semi-custom vanities, plumbing hardware, a stand-alone tub, modern tile, and light fixtures. The design was rounded out with bold paint choices, a custom floating shelf, and original art. Natalie set a soothing tone throughout the rest of the home by creating a neutral paint and trim schedule, and selecting new transitional light fixtures throughout. Fresh functions were set in each room, dedicating spaces for living, dining, bar area, and a sun-drenched reading room. Natalie chose furnishings that served multiple purposes, whether entertaining or for quiet moments to rest and reset. Original art was sourced, curated, reframed, and commissioned to reflect the true nature of the family. Final styling included provision of accessories, custom pillows, linens, and plants throughout the home. From the moment they wake up to a photo of a sun rising over a mountaintop, to watching the birds out the window as the sun goes down, the home is now a place to breathe and encourage ease.
