Britney groneck

Britney Groneck began dreaming about design two decades ago when she was inspired by a pair of accomplished local artists in her hometown of Elizabethtown.  Her journey accelerated when she immersed herself in creativity through use of a wide array of mediums. Influenced strongly by the vibrance and knowledge of an Italian professor during her studies abroad, she further cemented her commitment to architecture and the beauty of form through her travels. Britney's commitment and affinity were met with the perfect balance of functional application upon completing her degree in Architecture at University of Kentucky. Her work life started in Cincinnati with two firms focused on mixed use development and residential design. She loves the energy of urban development, and aspires to visit this along side Natalie as they expand their offerings to meet the needs of a progressive and diverse client base.

After years working and thriving in commercial architecture she was drawn back to residential design by the connectivity with clients. Meeting the needs of a homeowner, understanding them on a both a creative and personal level drew her to Natalie O. Design Co.  Britney’s ability to see the potential outcomes in a space and to take ownership of each and every detail with an exceptional eye, makes her the optimal partner for this unique boutique design firm.

Britney shares her love of architecture and Interior Design with her husband Jason, also an architect. They expose there three young children to this shared passion through travel as often as possible. Bringing creative inspiration to life upon her return.

Katie Gandolfo

Katie came to Natalie O. Design after accumulating six years of business experience from a Fortune 500 Organization. Before pursuing her Business Degree at the University of Kentucky she grew up in small town Ohio spending her summers working for the local antique dealer. This is where she first gained a deep appreciation for timeless antiquities and how they correlate with modern design. She brings a very unique blend of eclectic creativity and corporate structure that makes her an asset not only on site with clients but also behind the scenes in the studio.

Carter Wood Sartor

Carter Wood Sartor was raised in Louisville and was fortunate at a young age to spend time at her grandparent’s tobacco and horse farm on the outskirts of Frankfort, Kentucky. A strong family filled with creativity instilled in her a love of music, visual arts and design. Her early passion was music. From singing in musicals with her father as a child to writing, collaborating and recording her own material in Nashville for 15 years, Carter is an accomplished singer/songwriter. Through these pursuits she has had the opportunity to travel and live abroad, giving her an appreciation for architecture and art.

Carter recently oversaw re-design and renovation of a 1950s Cape Cod. The result is a tranquil Anchorage home with a blend of her KY sensibilities and her husband’s influence from the south of France. The project served as a catalyst for Carter’s renewed interest in architecture and design.

As the most recent addition to our growing team, Carter’s role is to source quality materials, fabrics, and antiques to meet our clients needs.

Rustic Farmhouse, Contemporary & Comforting.

They say life is made up of second chances.

It was a second chance that brought Natalie and Reise Officer to Maplecrest, their historic, century-old farmhouse outside of Anchorage.

When the couple first moved to Louisville from Chicago in 2008, they saw the house listed online but Natalie says they nixed it for a couple of reasons.

They moved to London after a year, and when they returned in 2010 saw Maplecrest was still on the market...

Authentic Inspiration

Natalie Officer brings an effortless cool to everything from her personal style to her historic fully renovated farm house in Anchorage, named Maplecrest. When I say, “cool,” I don’t mean aloof. This is not of the you-can’t-sit-with-us variety found in high school cafeterias. Quite the opposite, actually. Natalie has an extreme warmth that envelopes everyone she meets. Yet, she has a taste level that is “sui generis” and distinct – a fashion sense that fully accommodates the wearing of pants to a black tie gala or that can mismatch accessories until they are, in fact, perfectly matched. It is a winning wager that her look will never be repeated in a crowded room – emulated at a later date, maybe.  It is an authentic style that informs her sensibility as a self-taught interior designer; and now that she welcomes her newest design partner, architect Britney Groneck, into the fold, it is evident that Natalie O. Design is quickly becoming a stand-apart brand all its own...

Style Blueprint

When five people in two month's time asked me if I knew Natalie Officer, I knew it was time to connect with this multi-talented desire, buyer, and generally creative girl around town. She's an original, from her honest and captivating personality, to her beautiful homestead in Anchorage, to her aesthetic in clothing and home design.

GREY LIKES NESTING

As a mother, member of Dixie Design Collective and owner of Natalie O. Design Co., Natalie Officer has her work cut out for her. Crafting is something Natalie has been passionate about since a very young age. As the daughter of a beautician and a welder, she grew up in an environment where working with your hands was a necessity.

Having lost both of her grandmothers to breast cancer, Natalie Officer is always on the ball for the cure. The 2013 “Knock It Out” Pink Tie Ball isn’t her first time to bat for Susan G. Komen.
